Chaya Sokol is the founder and CEO of NutraSourceRD. Chaya has her Bachelor’s in Nutrition from Brooklyn College and Completed her dietetic internship with the North Shore Long Island Jewish Hospital Health Care System. Being a Registered Dietitian working in multiple healthcare facilities, Chaya saw a need for qualified well-trained Registered Dietitians within the healthcare industry. NutraSourceRD was created to fill that need and its rapid growth and success is testament the quality and caliber of service provided by the company. Expanding the company to the encompass NutraSourceDI (Dietetic Internship) and NutraSourceFS (Food Service) enables NutraSourceRD to be involved in educating the next generation of Registered Dietitians and providing food service consulting to healthcare facilities. Chaya treats each client as if they are her only client and is dedicated to growing the company by reputation, dedication and exemplary customer service.
Elizabeth Stampone, Director of Human Resources at NutraSourceRD, is an accomplished professional with over 11 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Elizabeth is responsible for implementing human resource management strategies that assist NutraSourceRD with employee relations and retaining a high performing and motivated workforce. Elizabeth specializes in developing and implementing onboarding, recruiting, interviewing, benefits management and employee relations policies and procedures.
Sara Zaza, Human Resources Recruiter, received her Bachelors degree in Human Services from East Stroudsburg Univeristy. She excels in recruiting, networking and welcoming employees to the team. Sara utilizes all professional media platforms to effectively market available positions within NutraSourceRD. She is ambitious in making connections and discovering candidates to join the NutraSourceRD team!
Hunter HerrNeckar, Human Resources Recruiter, recently joined the NutraSourceRD team. She received her Bachelors degree in Health Sciences with a concentration in Pre-Occupational Therapy from Stockton University. She works in conjunction with the Human Resources team to succesfully recruit and onboard Registered Dietitians who are the best fit for our company. She is proactive and eager to create successful and long-standing relationships with candidates as well as employees.
Allison Garner, CPA with 11 years experience in corporate and public accounting, joined NutraSourceRD in March 2021. She received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree of Accountancy from The University of Mississippi’s Patterson School of Accountancy. She has been a licensed CPA in the state of MS since June 2012. She is a member of the AICPA, MS Society of CPAs (MSCPA), and the MS Young CPA Network. Allison is Past President of the MS Young CPA Network and is the current President of the Northwest Chapter for the MS Society of CPAs. She is active in the Industry Committee for the MSCPA and serves as the current millennial chair. Allison is a graduate of the Alabama CPA Leadership Academy Class V and a graduate of Leadership Lafayette. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, exercising, and tailgating in the Ole Miss “grove.”
Carolyn Ramondo is the Vice President of Clinical Services for NutraSourceRD. Carolyn obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State University. Carolyn started her career in acute care with experience working in the intensive care unit as well as assisting with management of the diet office. After solidifying her passion for clinical nutrition and leadership, Carolyn began working in Long-Term Care as a facility dietitian. In this time, she obtained her specialization in nutrition support becoming a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician through the national board and provided care for many residents receiving enteral and parenteral nutrition. Carolyn then took on the role as a Regional Dietitian with goals of ensuring optimal nutrition care in all of her facilities as well as providing consistent support to the dietitians she oversees. Carolyn prides herself on being a resource for education on both a small and large scale making herself available for consultation on any patient case, providing feedback and encouraging development of the facility dietitians' clinical judgement as well as having conducted formal presentations on pancreatitis, diabetes management, enteral feeding complications, and malnutrition. Carolyn is dedicated to teaching, inspiring, and supporting the regional team, facility dietitians, and clients of NutraSourceRD. She is excited to continue advancing established initiatives as well as create new programs that will support the company’s mission and growth.
Amanda is the Vice President of Clinical Services for NutraSourceRD. Amanda joined NutraSourceRD in 2018 and has been working with the geriatric population for over 8 years. She has both clinical and foodservice experience, and she has a passion for promoting optimal nutrition during all stages of life. She has a Master’s of Science in Nutrition from SUNY Oneonta’s Combined Master’s and Dietetic Internship Program. Amanda enjoys working within a multidisciplinary approach with her colleagues. She is organized and responsive to the needs of her residents and facility. Amanda is a driven dietitian who is always looking to learn new and effective approaches to better nutrition.
Sara Vincenzi recently joined the NutraSource RD Corporate team in 2019, providing support to registered dietitians throughout the North Jersey region. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition with a minor in Psychology from Penn State University. After her undergrad education, she completed her dietetic internship with Sodexo in acute-care before moving into long-term care. She enjoys being able to provide exceptional care to each resident, and is excited to be a part of the corporate team to provide support.
Nicole Brummer is a Registered Dietitian with over eight years of experience working in the long-term care setting. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Delaware with minors in Biology and Psychology before completing her Dietetic Internship through Stony Brook University. She enjoys working with residents, their families, and the interdisciplinary team in the LTC setting as well as training and mentoring new employees to help make them proficient clinicians. In her free time Nicole can be found traveling, reading, or relaxing at the beach.
Kaylan Gotwalt joined the NutraSourceRD team in 2019. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences from Penn State University. After completing her dietetic internship with Aramark in an acute-care setting, Kaylan transitioned to long term care before starting her role as a Regional Dietitian for the Philadelphia and South Jersey Region. Kaylan is passionate about nutrition education as well as creating resident and interdisciplinary team relationships. She is organized and enjoys continuing her nutrition education in order to provide the best patient care.
Melanie graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition/Dietetics from Seton Hill University’s Coordinated Program in Greensburg, PA. She developed her love and roots for the aged adult population from growing up with grandparents who owned Personal Care Homes. Melanie began her professional experience at the Veterans Affairs Healthcare System in Pittsburgh, PA with focuses in Home Based Primary Care (HBPC), Adult Day Health Care (ADHC), TeleMove! Program, and Critical Care. Relocating to Palm Beach County, Florida, she managed LTC nutrition departments in the south Florida area as a contract RD, LDN. She also has experience in International Hospice Consulting, where she traveled to Home Health Agencies across the country implementing EMR systems. Currently, Melanie resides in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and enjoys surfing and the beach.
Michael Tieu joined the NutrasourceRD team in 2020. He obtained his Masters of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences from D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY in 2018. Before starting his role as Regional Dietitian for the Maryland and Philadelphia region, Michael worked as a traveling dietitian across the country from New York to California. His experience has included Level 1 acute care trauma, Level 4 max security prisons, Skilled nursing facilities, psychiatric wards, and long term care facilities. Michael is passionate about nutrition and fitness and wants to bring the best possible care to our patients.
Brianna obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Delaware in Dietetics. She went on to complete her dietetic internship at the College of Saint Elizabeth while earning her Master of Science in Nutrition. She started her career in long term care with NutraSourceRD before transitioning to the Assistant Regional position. Brianna loves helping others and building relationships with the residents. Brianna is excited to continue to share her passion for clinical nutrition and provide optimal patient care while supporting her team.
Jessica Caricato has been with NutraSoruceRD since 2017. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences from Penn State University, and her Master of Science degree in Nutrition Education from Teachers College, Columbia University where she also completed her Dietetic Internship. She is passionate about providing the best possible care to all residents, and in her free time sheenjoys designing nutritious and tasty recipes to cook for family and friends.
Emily graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics. She completed her dietetic internship through Stony Brook University in New York where she received the Medical Nutrition Therapy award. Emily comes with experience in long term care through the Long Island State Veterans Home where she provided nutrition education and collaborated on a multidisciplinary team. She demonstrates her passion for clinical care by providing the best quality of service to her residents. Emily enjoys teaching yoga and can most likely be found watching a webinar on the latest evidence-based practices in critical care.
Katherine Kelly is a Registered Dietitian who joined NutraSourceRD in 2019. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Connecticut. Katherine completed her clinically focused dietetic internship through the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in Bronx, NY. She will complete her Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition at New York University in the Fall of 2020. Katherine is a dedicated dietitian who enjoys working with the geriatric population and providing evidence-based medical nutrition therapy. She is thrilled to be transitioning to the assistant manager role within the NutraSource team.
Joshua joined the NutraSourceRD team in 2020. He has a Master’s of Science in Nutrition with a concentration in Community and Public Health Nutrition from the Academy of Saint Elizabeth’s Combined Master’s and Dietetic Internship Program. He began his career in community nutrition before transitioning to long term care. Joshua is passionate about health and fitness and wants to motivate others to live a healthier lifestyle.
Bernice graduated from the University of Minnesota Twin-Cities in 2018 with a Bachelor's of Science in Nutrition, and completed her Dietetic Internship in 2019 with The Sage Colleges in Troy, NY. She has been with NutraSourceRD since March of 2020. During her academic years, she worked as a student worker and student manager in the University's residential dining hall. She also worked as a part-time Diet Technician, Teaching Assistant for a Nutrition class, and volunteered in an Emergency Department as a Clinical Associate. Bernice was born in a unique country located in Southeast Asia which is diverse in races, cultures, religions and languages. These diverse experiences sparked her interest in pursuing an education in the field of Nutrition & Dietetics. She believes in going above and beyond for her residents, as well as sharing her love for food and healthy eating habits to everyone.
Julie McQueen graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Master’s of Science in the field of Community Nutrition where she also completed her dietetic internship, achieving the title of Outstanding Dietetic Student of the Year DI Program from the Kentucky Dietetic Association. She has specialized experience in the areas of clinical nutrition, including acute and ICU level care, food service management and is a great addition to our team!
Kathryn is a Registered Dietitian with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Marywood University. She has over 5 years of experience working in LTC kitchens, which initially ignited her passion to work with this population, and Kathryn joined the Nutrasource team in 2017 as a clinical RD and has been assisting with Food Service duties since the inception of NutrasourceFS. Having previously worked in the kitchen of LTC facilities, Kathryn is able to identify and communicate with food service staff to provide nutritionally adequate and appetizing meals. Her love and respect for the elderly population is the driving force behind her desire to lift them up, one good meal at a time.
Christa Brown is the Dietetic Internship (DI) Director for our NutraSourceDI program. She earned her master’s degree at the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown, NJ. Christa is a Registered Dietitian who started her dietetics career in the retail industry teaching the community how to apply wellbeing through nutrition and physical activity. She then transitioned to working for a food service management company as a manager leading all the health and wellness initiatives for 25 schools to then leading a team of 45 as the Director of Food Services. It was during this time that she was granted the opportunity to become an adjunct faculty member for Monmouth University teaching incoming freshmen students how to eat well on campus. From being a preceptor for RD and DTR programs throughout the state she discovered her passion for teaching and began a position as a Program Supervisor for the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program with Rutgers University. Today, she is most passionate and thrilled to deliver a program that not only provides knowledge but impactful resources for every NutraSource Dietetic Intern!
Dawn Hershey is the Clinical Nutrition Coordinator for NutraSource RD. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Sciences as well as her Dietetic Internship program at Cornell University. She also has a Master's degree in Public Health. Dawn has been a Registered Dietitian for over eight years and has served as a Dietetic Internship preceptor throughout her years in long term care. She specializes in developing policies and procedures as well as training materials for Registered Dietitians to assist them in succeeding in their clinical positions. She has a passion mentoring other Registered Dietitians and nutrition professionals in growing their clinical and managerial skills.
Emily Witman joined the NutraSource team in 2018. In August 2019, she transitioned to NutraSourceDI as the Program Assistant where she provides administrative support to the Program Director, interns, and preceptors. She has a BA in Communication Studies from Stockton University, along with years of customer service and administrative experience.
Cody assists in keeping the NutraSourceRD Corporate staff focused and motivated throughout the course of the day. THANK YOU Cody for always putting a smile on our faces!
